GENERAL INFORMATION

From what time can I check in? Check‑in is possible from 15:00.

Is early check‑in possible? Yes, early check‑in at 13:00 is possible on request.

Until what time can I check out? Check‑out is possible until 11:00.

Is late check‑out possible? Yes, late check‑out at 13:00 is possible on request.

Can I leave my luggage? Yes, luggage storage is available (free of charge).

Are baby cots available? Yes, baby cots are available on request for a small fee. Click here for more info.

Is the hotel smoke‑free? Yes, the hotel is completely smoke‑free. A smoking area is available in the garden.

What room types are available? Rooms with bath, shower, rain shower, SPA bath, balcony, terrace, and a fully equipped apartment with two bedrooms and kitchen.

Is there wellness? No, we do not have a wellness area, but we do have a sauna available for guests. It is located next to the fitness room. Click here for more info.

Is breakfast served? Yes, there is an extensive breakfast buffet with many homemade products. Click here for more info.

What are the breakfast hours? Weekdays: 07:00–09:30 | Weekend: 08:00–10:30

Is food available outside breakfast hours? Yes, our Foodcorner offers 24/7 homemade meals, local drinks and snacks.

Is coffee available? Yes, coffee is available in the rooms and in the Foodcorner.

Is drinking water available? Yes, our 24/7 Foodcorner has a water station with both sparkling and still water. Guests can refill their bottles free of charge at any time.

How can I pay? You can pay with Bancontact, credit card (Visa/Mastercard/Amex), gift voucher or cash.

Until when can I cancel for free? The free cancellation period depends on the room type and chosen rate. Most rates allow free cancellation up to 3 days before arrival, but this may vary per booking channel or promotion. The exact conditions are always shown during booking.

What is the Foodcorner? A self‑service area with fresh, homemade dishes to take away or enjoy on site.

Where is the Foodcorner located? In the breakfast room, next to the lobby.

What makes the Foodcorner unique? All dishes are homemade, freshly prepared and packaged in sustainable glass containers.

What dishes are available? Soups, pasta dishes, local meat preparations, pastries, ice cream and snacks.

Is the food fresh and homemade? Yes, everything is freshly prepared.

Is cutlery and tableware available? Yes, available in the Foodcorner.

Are the dishes expensive? No, prices are intentionally kept affordable.

Do I need to heat the food myself? Yes, a microwave is available.

Why glass containers? Because they are sustainable, reusable and environmentally friendly.

Are there plastic packages? No, the hotel avoids plastic as much as possible.

When is the Foodcorner open? The Foodcorner is open 24/7, except during breakfast hours.

Is breakfast served? Yes, an extensive breakfast buffet.

What is offered? Bread rolls, sweet and savoury items, fruit, yoghurt, granola, hot dishes and homemade products.

Are there vegetarian options? Yes.

Is breakfast included? Depending on your rate. Direct bookings allow you to include breakfast immediately (usually cheaper). On platforms like Booking.com or Expedia, breakfast is always excluded but can be added afterwards.

Can non‑hotel guests have breakfast? Yes, subject to availability. Please reserve in advance via this link.

Is there a terrace? Yes, guests often enjoy breakfast or a drink on the terrace in good weather.

Is there a charging station for electric cars? Yes, there are 4 charging stations available.

How far is the city centre? The hotel is a 20–30 minute walk from the historic centre. By bike or public transport, it takes about 10 minutes.

How far is the train station? Gent‑Sint‑Pieters station is within walking or cycling distance. On foot it takes 7 minutes, by bike only 3 minutes.

Is there an easy way to explore Ghent? Yes, the Lens On Ghent app offers thematic routes on your smartphone or tablet. Combine this with a rental bike from us to explore the city at a relaxed pace.

Can I rent bikes? Yes, both manual city bikes and e‑bikes are available. Click here for more info.

What is there to do nearby? Museums, sights, restaurants, cafés, and cycling and walking routes.

Can you arrange a taxi? Yes, reception is happy to help. If you need a taxi in the morning, feel free to order it the evening before to ensure punctuality.

 

FACILITIES

Is there a fitness room? Yes, there is a fitness room. Click here for more info.

Are there outdoor areas? Yes, there is a garden with terrace and sunbeds.

Is there a lift? Yes, but not to all rooms. Only the Sweet and Cozy rooms are accessible by lift. Several rooms are on the ground floor. For limited mobility, we are happy to help with luggage. Feel free to contact us in advance by phone or email regarding possibilities.

Is the staff multilingual? Yes, the staff speaks multiple languages (NL/FR/ENG).

BIKE RENTAL

Can I rent a bike? Yes, the hotel rents both manual city bikes and e‑bikes.

How much does it cost? Prices can be found here or shown during booking.

How long can I rent? Rentals are per day. Our bikes are available until late in the evening. There is no fixed return time.

Do I need to reserve in advance? Recommended.

Is Ghent bike‑friendly? Absolutely! The city centre became car‑free a few years ago, and several routes from the hotel to the historic centre are nearly car‑free.

Do I get a bike route? Yes, the hotel provides routes and tips—just ask at reception.

Can I reach the centre by bike? Yes, in just a few minutes.

Do I get a bike lock? Yes.

Are helmets available? No, please bring your own helmet.

Are child seats available? No. If you have your own screw‑on model, you may bring it.

Can I bring and store my own bike? Yes, in the hotel’s free bike storage. Please bring your own lock, as the storage area is accessible to everyone.

Are there bike packages? Yes, the Vive le Vélo promotion.

Where is the sauna located? In the modular unit in the garden.

When can I use the sauna? Daily from 11:00 to 23:00.

What type of sauna is it? A Health Mate infrared sauna.

What is the difference compared to a classic sauna? You sweat more at a lower temperature; it is gentler on the heart and ideal for muscle recovery.

Are there house rules? Towel required, swimwear allowed but not mandatory, bring your own slippers.

Is there a fitness room? Yes, next to the sauna.

When is the fitness open? 24/7

What equipment is available? A treadmill, exercise bike, rowing machine, fitness bench and dumbbells.

What promotions are available? Sauna & Bubbles, Hello Ghent! and Vive le Vélo.

What is included in Sauna & Bubbles? Overnight stay with breakfast, 1‑hour sauna session and a bottle of bubbles.

What is included in Vive le Vélo? Overnight stay with breakfast, two bikes per night and a cycling‑node map.

Are promotions for two people? Yes.

Are promotions available for all room types? Yes, you can choose your preferred room type during booking.

Are promotions available year‑round? Depending on availability.

Is there air conditioning? No, but all rooms have a cooling system that can lower the temperature by about 8°C below the outside temperature. All rooms also have silent ceiling fans for natural air circulation.

Are towels provided? Yes, towels are available and replaced on request.

Is there an iron in the room? Not standard, but available on request.

Is there a hairdryer? Yes, in all rooms.

Is there individual heating? Yes, each room has adjustable heating.

 

CHILDREN & EXTRA BEDS

Are children welcome? Of course.

Do children stay for free? A supplement applies. All conditions can be found here.

Can I reserve a baby cot? Yes, on request.

Can an extra bed be added? Only in our Comfy Rooms.

Are there family rooms? Yes. The hotel has 2 connecting rooms (Sweet & Marvelous) forming one large family room with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. You can also book our Signature Loft, suitable for up to 4 people, with a fully equipped kitchen and living area.
